No, Access Bank staff would never ask you for your ATM Card details or PIN. Always ensure you input your PIN yourself where required while being assisted.

Here are some useful personal safety tips when using the ATM
  • Be alert and aware of your surroundings.
  • When you are by yourself, avoid using ATMs in out-of-the-way or deserted areas, especially at night.
  • Politely decline offers from third parties to help you use the ATM.
  • If you need help while transacting, let our security operatives guide you.
  • Do not share your PIN or card details with anyone including security operatives or other bank officials.
  • When typing in your pin, cover the keypad so others can’t see.
  • Upon completion of your transaction, remember to remove your card, cash, and any printed documents such as receipts or statements.
  • Put your money and ATM card away before you leave the ATM. 
  • Take your receipts with you so potential criminals will not know the amount withdrawn or your account balance.
To change your ATM language from the default English to either Hausa, Igbo or Yoruba, simply insert your card into the ATM and select your preferred language from the displayed options.
  1. Access Bank Website: On the Access website, click ‘Branch and ATM Locator’ to view a list of Access ATMs or enter the location you want to search for in the search engine for direction and navigation.
  2. Access Mobile App: Log in to the Access app, select the option ‘ATM List’ from the ‘Customer Service’ Menu, and find the closest ATM from the displayed list.
  3. Diamond Mobile App: Click on the “Find Us” option and select “ATM near you” when you log into your Diamond mobile app.
  4. Access More App: this feature will be available soon.

Withdrawing cash from your access account is free at all Access ATMs. You save N35 every time you withdraw cash from your Access Bank account on an Access Bank ATM.
If your failed transaction receipt is unavailable, kindly send an email to with the details of the transaction such as date, amount, first six and the last four digits of the Access Bank card used, and Bank’s ATM where the failure occurred. You can also call 07003000000.
Simply send a copy of your declined transaction receipt to or present it to any branch close to you. You will get a refund for your failed transaction within 24 hours! (T&Cs apply)
Our ATMs are user friendly and simplified with straight-through processes. You can also transact in your preferred local Nigerian language between Hausa, Igbo, or Yoruba. However, if you need more help while transacting, our Security Operatives are readily available to guide you.
Follow the steps below to retrieve ATM card in line with regulatory requirement:
1. Access Bank Card Trapped at an Access ATM – make a report at the host branch and the card will be retrieved after you have been duly identified.
2. Access Bank Card Trapped at Another Bank’s ATM: you can request for an instant replacement at any Access Branch near you, initiate a replacement using the mobile app or online banking service, or call our 24-hour Contact Center on +234 1- 2712005-7; 07003000000
3. Other Bank’s Card Trapped at an Access Bank ATM: Contact the issuing bank to request a new card.

Here are some additional tips for taking care of your ATM card, PIN, and receipts:

  • Report a lost or stolen ATM card immediately. Call 07003000000 to have your card blocked instantly.
  • Don’t leave your card in your car’s glove compartment or anywhere others might have access to it. 
  • Don’t lend your ATM cards to anyone. You are solely responsible for the use of your cards.  
  • Choose a PIN that is easy for you to remember but difficult for others to guess.
    (Tip: Don’t use any numbers or words such as name, birth date, phone number, etc.)
  • Never tell anyone your PIN. No one from the bank, government, or our partner services would ask for your PIN. 
  • Never write down your PIN — memorize it. 
  • Keep your ATM cards away from magnets and sharp objects to prevent damaging the chip.
