The Chairman of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Chief Dotun Sanusi, has opened a mobile banking centre inside the resort to boost socio-economic development of Akanran and its environs.

According to a statement on Wednesday, the mobile banking centre made possible by Access Bank was brought to the resort with a view to bringing banking activities closer to the people of Akanran, the headquarters of the Ona-Ara Local Government Area of Oyo State and its environs.

The management of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort recently completed a telecommunication mast with the sole aim of improving the communication network of the host communities.

The Caretaker Chairman, Ona-Ara LGA, Mr Maruf Sanusi, lauded the Sanusi for his efforts towards the socio-economic development of Akanran and Ona-Ara Local Government Area.

He said his administration was looking forward to synergising with the resort on how further socio-economic development could be attracted to the Ona-Ara LGA.
